A large animal distantly related to the ancestor of the Ondo.
Vathwele are roughly the size of a white-tailed deer and live in the underground cavern systems of Ehivane. The species is characterized by walking on the tips of its toes which have evolved to lock into a hoof-like shape, as well as their delicate spines which are used to feel vibrations underground for advance notice of any potential cave-ins. Vathwele are blue with lighter blue markings, and have white eyes due to lack of light exposure: they are mostly blind. They instead use sound to manuever in the dark.
